The material of the sample can be specified in a drop-down menu, and the refractive index decrement and attenuation length of the material can be obtained automatically from the above-mentioned CXRO online database, the same way it is done for the CRL (see §4.1.1). In the CXRO database, measurements of Pt absorption dating from the 1900s to the 1980s have been com-piled and interpolated with theoretical calculations; the disper-sive part of the Pt refractive index is then calculated via the Kramers-Krönig relation.
